The Rawlins City Council will meet Friday morning during a special session set for 10:00 a.m.
According to the official agenda released by the city, the governing body will meet in executive session behind closed doors following the procedural opening.
The reason for the meeting has not been disclosed using Wyoming Statute 16-4-405a, which allows governing bodies to hold executive sessions not open to the public. With no other items on the agenda, the council will adjourn immediately following the closed-door meeting.
Wyoming Statute 16 of state law allows a governing body to hold executive sessions not open to the public for various reasons ranging from personnel matters to real estate or potential litigation.
The meeting is set to begin at 10 a.m.
