In sports, several transfers to Wyoming who arrived in May are making impacts this week in Laramie, according to reports from camp.

Among them are two running backs: Max White, who previously played at Iowa and Damashja Harris, who transferred from North Texas. White and Harris join senior Sam Scott in the backfield, adding experience and physicality to the Wyoming running game.

The Cowboys started camp with 16 running backs on the roster but Head Coach Jay Sawvel dismissed the idea that Wyoming will start the season with a strategy of “running back by committee.”

One good sign for Wyoming’s running game, the three top contenders for the backfield start camp tipping the scales at over 200 pounds. White came in at 207, Harris at 224 pounds and Scott at 230.
