Across Wyoming, flags are flying at half-staff today and tomorrow in honor and memory of Lynn Simmons, a former Wyoming Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Simmons served as Superintendent from 1979 to 1991.

She passed away this past Saturday, August 30, 2025.

A memorial service will be held tomorrow in Cheyenne at the First Christian Church, 219, West 27^th Street.
