The Wyoming Cowboys are looking to recover from last week’s home loss to UNLV on snow-covered Jonah Field with another game at home. San Jose State comes to Laramie this week.

The Spartans are looking for their fourth straight win over Wyoming and their seventh win over the Cowboys in their last eight games.

The Spartans are coming off a 35-28 win over New Mexico last Friday. Against the Lobos, San Jose State quarterback Walter Eget went 26 of 30 for 334 yards and three touchdowns.

New Mexico Head Coach Ken Niumatalolo (Nee-oo-mah-tah-loh-loh) remembers last year’s close loss to Wyoming in Albuquerque.

The contest ended with Wyoming and New Mexico coming away with a hard-fought four-point win, 49-45. Last year’s contest was tied at 35 at halftime. The Cowboys scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to lock down the win.

Wyoming came out of last Saturday’s conference opening loss with a focus on starting fast and gaining momentum. The Cowboys were down to the Rebels 24-3 at the half last week. Head Coach Jay Sawvel is looking to start fast and gain momentum early.

The Bulldogs come into tomorrow’s game ranked #2 in the Mountain West power rankings this week. The Cowboys are ranked in seventh place as injuries to key players are starting to add up.

Bigfoot 99 will have the game tomorrow night beginning with the pregame show starting at 3:30.
