The Wyoming Cowgirls opened conference play in Laramie Wednesday night with a dominating 83-60 win over San Jose State.
Wyoming’s Malene Pedersen and Hanna Sedvik provided a two-fisted punch with each scoring 21 points.
Jane Rumpf beat the buzzer with a three-point shot to beat the half-time buzzer to give Wyoming an 11-point lead at the break.

The Cowgirls and Spartans ended the first quarter tied at 12, then Wyoming found their feet in the second frame to end the half with a nine-point lead.
Head Coach Heather Ezell said her team settled in during the second quarter and responded to the Spartans offense.
Ezell described the one-two punch that Pedersen and Sedvik provided.
With the conference opener in the books, Wyoming will travel to Fresno State for a game against the Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon.
