The Town of Saratoga is preparing to install two new gateway signs.

Last year, the Saratoga Planning Commission began exploring ways to improve wayfinding for residents and tourists. At the May 6th Town Council meeting, Public Works Director Emery Penner presented a plan, developed by the Planning Commission and Enoch Hart of Wyoming Signs in Casper, to install additional signage around town. Penner said the new signs will help direct visitors to local points of interest.

The council agreed to prioritize new entrance signs and directed Penner to order two monument‑style signs measuring 12 feet wide and seven feet tall. A rock foundation supports a billboard with “Saratoga” in the center, “Est. 1884” above, and “Wyoming” below. Each sign was priced at $13,592.

At the January 7th Saratoga Town Council meeting, Public Works Director Penner announced that the signs were completed and ready for delivery upon the governing body’s approval.

Councilman Bub Barkhurst asked if Enoch Hart of Wyoming Signs would help with the installation. Penner said Hart has offered to assist, though town employees will do most of the work.

Penner also assured the council that the signs will withstand the constant gusting wind.

The governing body approved the design and instructed Penner to take delivery of the signs. Mayor Chuck Davis said it will be “very nice for the community.”
