Rawlins fire chief to make second court appearance

Rawlins Fire Chief John Rutherford will make his second appearance in court next week. On July 23rd, Rutherford entered a plea of “not guilty” to charges of interference following a heated exchange with a peace officer. The dispute rose over how long police were taking to conduct a walk-through of the small bar Rutherford owns in the city. Bigfoot 99’s Cali O’Hare has been following the story and filed this report.

 

 

Encampment will help pay for sewer repairs at GEM

The Encampment Town Council has decided to financially assist the Grand Encampment Museum with repairs to its sewer line. The decision came at last Thursday’s meeting. Emma Diercks was there and filed this report.

Rawlins residents mourning after fatal crash

In Rawlins, days after a fatal crash at the intersection of 3rd and Spruce Streets, the community is mourning the loss of one of its own. Cali O’Hare reports.

Rawlins street rehab project moves to residential areas

Beginning this week, the 2018 Street Rehabilitation Project will move into residential areas in Rawlins. STC Construction will begin the wear coursing on Dundee, Loch Ness, Loch Lomond, Dunphail and Glasgow Streets. Area residents should have already received a notice reminding them to remove all vehicles, campers and trailers from the streets. Residents should contact the Rawlins Department of Public Work at 307-328-4599 with questions.
