SCWEMS will cover emergency medical air lift costs for residents

Residents in the SCWEMS service area in Carbon County should receive postcards from Classic Air Medical within the next two months. The mailer will contain instructions on how to obtain membership with the emergency medical air lift service at no cost. Emma Diercks has the story.

Carbon County Visitors Council urging residents to vote in favor of lodging tax

On the November 6th General Election ballot, Carbon County voters will have the opportunity to vote on renewing the local lodging tax. The Carbon County Visitors Council is urging area residents to vote in favor of the tax which is collected mostly from out-of-town visitors. Cali O’Hare reports.

 

 

County sheriff candidates face off at forum

During a candidate forum in Saratoga Monday evening, two men running for Carbon County Sheriff shared their visions for the future of the department. Voters had their own questions, including equipment upgrades and patrolling in the county’s remote locations. Emma Diercks reports.

Rawlins City Council agrees to pitch in for Great Divide Economic Development project

Rawlins City Council last week agreed to help cover the cost of a mandatory update to the Great Divide Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy. The city joins several other government entities including Carbon County and the Town of Hanna. Cali O’Hare reports.

Sports: Saratoga volleyball team ends post-season drought
