Accounting firm gives update on feasibility of critical access hospital
An accounting firm looking at the feasibility of a critical access hospital in the Platte Valley gave a presentation last night at public meeting in Saratoga. An official from BKD said the process of gathering and analyzing information will take as much three months to complete before a conclusion can be reached. County officials consider building new equipment warehouse in Medicine Bow
To keep up with impacts from the growing energy industry in South Central Wyoming, county officials are hoping to build a shop and housing complex in Medicine Bow. The 18,000 square foot building would house road and bridge equipment.
Two apartments in a separate portion of the building could be used by a road and bridge employee and a sheriff’s deputy as necessary. The building would include meeting and office space. A fueling station would also be located on the large piece of county land at the intersection of US 30 an Wyoming 487. Cali O’Hare has the story.
Saratoga officials using draft of new FEMA flood zone map
The Saratoga zoning officer is using the new flood zone map for building permits even though it is still in draft form. The Saratoga Planning Commission also will use the map, provided by FEMA, to continue work on new flood prevention ordinances.
