The Rawlins Police Department has made an arrest in connection with the burglary of a local motel.
Yesterday, the Rawlins Police Department announced that on Saturday, January 25th, officers arrested 39-year-old Diana Ray for burglary. Police are still searching for Ray’s alleged accomplice.
Around 2:30 a.m. last Thursday morning, Ray and an unknown male allegedly entered the office of the Brickyard Inn, located at 415 West Spruce Street in Rawlins, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.
Images of the two suspects were captured by security cameras positioned at the motel. However, the police were unable to positively identify the suspects because their faces were hidden by masks.
The Rawlins Police Department thanked the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office and Wyoming DCI for helping to identify Ray as one of the two suspects. Ray has been charged with burglary, and the case has been referred to the Carbon County Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
Police are still requesting assistance from the public to identify the male suspect caught in the security camera footage. Call the Rawlins Police Department at 328-4530 if you witnessed the incident or have any information about the remaining suspect.
