Carbon County officials have recently done their own assessment of the potential impacts to the landscape from the Mullen Fire.

Local agencies are working with the U.S. Forest Service to get a baseline analysis of the burn scar before moving into efforts to mitigate or prepare for the effects. Emma Diercks has the story.
