The Carbon County Museum has a new curator. With a fresh set of eyes comes new exhibits with a focus on local law enforcement.

Carbon County Museum Director Tom Mensik said he’s completed his search for a new curator. He said Andrew Webster has come a long way to join his staff.

While the museum has exhibits on all aspects of life in Carbon County, Mensik said a lot of display space is dedicated to outlaws. He said Webster wants to shine a light on the people who keep the county safe.

Mensik said, under Webster’s direction, the museum will address a lack of emergency responder information. He said Webster is also reorganizing the museum’s military artifacts.

Mensik said the sheriff and EMS exhibits are just the beginning. He didn’t get into details, but said his new curator has big changes in store for the Carbon County Museum.

Mensik said the new law enforcement display should be ready by late summer or early fall.
