The Carbon County Visitors Council has introduced a summer challenge to visit every museum in the region.

Users of the Discover Carbon County phone application have access to the Museum Trail challenge. Carbon County Visitors Council Chief Executive Officer Leslie Jefferson said the challenge encourages users to visit all seven of the county’s museums. People who complete the challenge will receive a complimentary sticker and t-shirt from the Visitors Council.

To participate in the Museum Trail challenge, Jefferson said to simply download the Discover Carbon County app onto your phone. The app tracks which museums you’ve visited and shares the information with the Carbon County Visitors Council.

The Museum Trail challenge runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Jefferson said she first announced the initiative in May but would like to remind the public to visit our area’s important historical centers.

Jefferson said museums preserve the heartbeat of the community by telling the stories of the people, places, and moments that shaped modern Carbon County.
