The political primary season is getting interesting. Liz Cheney’s arch rivals in Congress will invade the Wyoming representative’s home turf tomorrow. Conservative Republican house member Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has ruffled feathers in Washington since being elected last year, will hold fundraiser in Jackson Hole tomorrow. Joining her will be Representatives Jim Jordan of Ohio. Both are members of the House Freedom Caucus, and led the rebellion earlier this year to have Cheney removed from GOP House leadership.

Also on hand at tomorrow’s $2,000-per-couple fundraiser is Mark Meadows, former President Donald Trump’s chief of staff. Freshman Congresswoman Greene from Georgia’s 14th District, has shown no fear in attacking Cheney. Here is Green on the Capitol steps at the end of February after Cheney joined Democrats in the House to impeach Trump.

Tomorrow’s fundraiser in Jackson is being held at the Spring Creek Ranch. Among the hosts of the event are the co-owners of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Jay and Karen Kemmerer.

Meanwhile, yet another poll shows Cheney to be out of favor with Wyoming Republicans. The third poll out in a week shows Darin Smith leading the field of primary competitors against Cheney. Darin Smith leads the pack with 24 percent. State Senator Anthony Bouchard is in second place with 18 percent. State Rep. Chuck Gray with 14 percent. Cheney earned 19 percent while 25 percent of likely voters remain undecided.

The survey of Republican voters was conducted by Republican polling company Remington Research Group.
