The City of Rawlins presented its Employee of the Quarter award to firefighter Caleb Miiller.

Four times a year, Rawlins city staff select an employee to recognize for going above and beyond their normal duties.

During the July 16th Rawlins city council meeting, City Manager Tom Sarvey awarded the Employee of the Second Quarter to Caleb Miiller. Sarvey said Miiller is a skilled mechanic who singlehandedly keeps the city’s fire equipment operational.

Sarvey said, when necessary, Miiller will contact outside agencies for help with unusual or especially difficult repairs. The city manager said Miiller’s work ethic makes him a valuable employee.

Miiller thanked the city. The firefighter said he stays up to date on his mechanical training so he can be prepared to fix anything that goes wrong with the firefighting equipment.

Mayor Terry Weickum thanked Miiller for his hard work and complimented the firefighter on his bagpipe playing skills.

Miiller will receive a $300 bonus and have his name engraved on the 2024 Employee of the Quarter plaque in the Rawlins City Hall.
