The City of Rawlins recognized its Assistant Finance Director as Employee of the Quarter.

Assistant Finance Director Beverly Hannum was named the Employee of the Third Quarter during the December 2nd Rawlins City Council meeting.

The Rawlins Employee of the Quarter award is presented four times a year to an employee recognized by co‑workers and supervisors for outstanding performance. Speaking at the December 2nd meeting, Finance Director Laura Malone announced that Assistant Finance Director Beverly Hannum was selected as this quarter’s award recipient.

Malone, who was hired as the city’s finance director last month, explained that during the time the position was vacant, Hannum stepped into the role. Malone said Hannum went above and beyond the duties of her position to ensure the city completed all legally required financial audits.

Malone said Hannum managed the finance department effectively in the absence of a Finance Director, assisting city staff across the board. Malone added that, thanks to Hannum’s hard work, all financial documents were completed on time.

Malone said for her leadership, dedication, and positive presence, Hannum was chosen as Employee of the Third Quarter. Award winners receive a $300 bonus and have their names inscribed on a permanent plaque displayed in Rawlins City Hall.
