Last week, dirt moving equipment arrived and Carbon Power and Light were installing transformers at the construction site for the planned North Platte Valley Medical Center. This is after the Saratoga Town Council permitted excavation orders, the USDA signed off on nearly $18.4 million in loans, and the local Water and Sewer Joint Powers Board approved water line extension request, all in the past few weeks.

Emma Diercks interviewed Platte Valley Healthcare Project Committee Chair Will Faust as these permits, utility lines and credit approvals lined up for an expected 15-16 months of construction.
