In Rawlins, the governing body gave final approval on an amendment to the city code related to the hauling of garbage, as well as construction and demolition materials. The amendment, as approved, means independent contractors who occasionally haul C&D to the transfer station will no longer be required to obtain a license and bond. As in the previous two readings, the vote was delayed again because of discussion about possible conflicts of interest with some council members Cali O’Hare reports.
