A South Dakota man who spent the last two decades incarcerated at the Wyoming State Penitentiary died in custody in Rawlins on Monday.

Although the state Department of Corrections has not yet issued the cause of death, the Carbon County Coroner’s Office confirmed yesterday that the man died from COVID-19. Cali O’Hare reports.
