In Saratoga, town council reappointed Danny Bureau to represent the town on the Carbon County Visitor’s Council for another three years. Bureau’s first term expired on June 30th.

Mayor Creed James read a letter of support for Bureau from the Visitors Council Director Leslie Jefferson. Then Bureau addressed the council and expressed his desire to be reappointed to the joint powers board.

 

The 10-member Visitor’ Council joint powers board is charged with using lodging taxes to promote local travel and tourism within Carbon County. None of the board members receive compensation for their time.

Saratoga Town Council voted unanimously to renew Burau’s appointment. Owner of Firewater in Saratoga, Burau will serve through June 30, 2024.
