Carbon County firefighters responded to a six-acre grassland fire last night outside Hanna. County Fire Warden John Rutherford told Bigfoot 99 that the fire burned dry sage and grass along railroad tracks north of the Coyote Canyon. The fire was actively burning around 6:45 last night. By 7:15, county and Bureau of Land Management fire crews were able to knock the fire down and begin mop-up operations.
