Platte Valley hospital feasibility study enters phase two

The Platte Valley Healthcare Sustainability Project Committee is entering phase two of a feasibility study to assess whether a critical access hospital can be successful in Saratoga.

The second phase consists of looking at survey data and forecasting finances. Emma Diercks has been following this story for the last year and has the latest update.

Rawlins officials approve downtown parking plan

The streets in downtown Rawlins will receive a fresh coat of paint this summer. The re-striping project will result in changes to the number of parking spaces, angled parking and handicap spots.

The Rawlins City Council approved the amendments to the downtown striping plan and awarded the bid during Tuesday’s meeting. Cali O’Hare has more.

Organizations to install free smoke detectors for local residents

The American Red Cross and the Rawlins Fire Department have teamed up to install life saving smoke detectors in the homes of Carbon County residents, completely free of charge. There’s still time to register your home as part of the upcoming Sound the Alarm campaign. Cali O’Hare has the details.
