New Rawlins finance director takes over

After two months with no one in the position, the City of Rawlins has hired a new Finance Director. Illinois native Dustin Ziebold started this week, and takes over for former director, Dan Izzo, who retired in September. Cali O’Hare caught up with the city’s new money manager and filed this report.

 

 

Saratoga Town Council makes more changes to proposed project wish list

Saratoga’s specific purpose tax project list now asks for about $7.9 million after the town cut its proposal at the Carbon County Council of Governments meeting last week. The town has also decided not to bond its request. Emma Diercks has the details.

 

 

New homes may be required to have fire sprinklers in Rawlins

The Rawlins City Council is considering requiring all future homes constructed within the municipality to include residential fire sprinklers. Earlier this week, members of the council listened to a presentation given by top officials from the Rawlins Fire Department who cleared up some of the misconceptions surrounding home sprinkler systems.
