New family nurse practitioner and other changes coming to Saratoga medical clinic

In Saratoga, the Platte Valley Clinic continues to add services under the new management team. As part of the process, a family nurse practitioner has been hired. Clinic officials also continue to explore the possibility of establishing a critical access hospital. They have been visiting facilities in other rural towns to gather information. Rawlins hospital cleared in malpractice lawsuit

A jury has ruled in favor of Memorial Hospital of Carbon County in the medical malpractice lawsuit brought by a Saratoga woman. Late Wednesday evening, the jury returned its decision, finding that the surgeon was not negligent. Cali O’Hare reports.

 

 

Landfill officials consider rate restructure

The Upper Platte Valley Solid Waste Disposal district is considering restructuring rates so people are charged more fairly for what they dispose and where they dump it at the landfill. The board is also exploring implementing a tonnage rate so people aren’t charged as much for loads that are only half full. Emma Diercks reports.

 

 

Rawlins boys inducted into Order of the Squires

Two young men from Rawlins have made a bit of Wyoming’s history. They’re the first to be inducted into the Order of the Squires, a fraternal organization that strives to create future leaders. Cali O’Hare has the story.
