Platte Valley healthcare committee addresses concerns at public meeting
In Saratoga, the committee charged with exploring the future of health care in the Platte Valley say concerns over the availability of services continues to be the biggest challenge.
Committee members shared results of a recent survey during a public meeting Wednesday, and fielded questions about the possibility of establishing a small hospital here. Emma Diercks was at the meeting and filed this report.

Construction company chosen for Rawlins street project
In Rawlins, about 140 blocks of city streets will be resurfaced this summer. City Council this week awarded the $859,000 project to STC Construction, the Cheyenne-based company that did similar street improvements last summer. Cali O’Hare has more.
CCSD2 approves land lease
Carbon County School District Two will lease property it owns in Medicine Bow to an independent land developer. The vacant site next to the old high school will be used for recreational vehicles to house wind energy workers during upcoming projects. Emma Diercks reports.

New flooring coming to Rawlins rec center
Users of the Rawlins Family Recreation Center will soon see new flooring in both the multipurpose room and the indoor walking track. The city council signed off on the $30,000 projects this week. Cali O’Hare has the story.
