Former penitentiary employee found guilty in sexual assault trial

The jury took less than 90 minutes to return a verdict guilty in the trial against a former Wyoming State Penitentiary employee. Now thirty-year-old Shantell Ann Wyant faces jail time and fines. Cali O’Hare recaps the third and final day of the trial.

 

 

Vaccination clinics slated for flu season

River restoration project complete this week

National management team takes over stubborn Ryan Fire

The Ryan Fire consumed another 500 acres on Thursday as it crossed Forest Road 498 on the southern end of the burn zone. The fire, which was first reported two weeks ago tomorrow, is now burning on 21,631 acres. It is 35 percent contained.

Another development is that a National Incident Management Organization took command of both the Ryan and Silver Creek Fires from separate regional teams. The national team is under the command of Mike Quesinberry who oversaw NIMO operations during the Beaver Creek Fire two years ago.

The Silver Creek Fire burning northwest of Kremmling, Colorado, is 18,700 acres in size and 60 percent contained.
