In Cheyenne, Governor Mark Gordon announced Monday the appointment of Ryan Roden as the interim State Public Defender. Roden’s appointment follows the retirement of State Public Defender Diane Lozano, who has served in that capacity since 2007.
Roden has worked in the Office of the State Public Defender since 1999, serving as Deputy State Public Defender since 2007. He previously served as a private practice attorney and as a Staff Attorney at the Wyoming Supreme Court.
Roden r, eceived his Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Wyoming.
The governor thanked Lozano for her service and welcomed Rodan to the position.
