Rich, global elites like John Kerry flew halfway around the world to Dubai on their private jets over the weekend to make lofty pronouncements about the environment that will ultimately hurt the less fortunate, including Wyoming residents.
Meanwhile, Governor Mark Gordon yesterday denounced new White House regulations on methane emissions from oil and gas facilities that the administration announced in Dubai.
In a statement, Governor Gordon called the regulation “obvious and shallow grandstanding, which might make great theater among climate activists, (but) the effect at home means higher fuel prices and additional burdens on Wyoming producers.”
The governor said the new rule will saddle Wyoming oil and gas producers as well as consumers with higher costs.
The new rule is spelled out in 1,690 pages of regulations.
In addition to creating more financial burden for consumers, the governor said the Biden Administration is ignoring state environmental agencies like Wyoming’s, which have been addressing the issue.
