A 28-year-old Laramie woman is facing a felony drug and child endangering charges after the Carbon County Sheriff’s office was called to investigate an incident at a campground in the Miracle Mile on May 21.

According to a release Monday from Sheriff Roybal’s office, Sergeant John Moore and Deputy Caleb Schulz, along with Investigator Dale Miller were alerted to a possible child abuse incident by the Natrona County Sheriff’s Department.

As a result of the investigation, Danisha Bynum was charged with felony child abuse, two counts of Endangering a Child and Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, which turned out to be methamphetamine.

The children were taken into protective custody and are currently with the Department of Family Services, according to the release.

The case is still under investigation and no further information was made available.

Arrest records show Bynum was arrested for probation and bond revocation. She was charged by Laramie Police in 2019 for inciting another person to commit a crime.
