The Wyoming Department of Transportation has experienced budget shortfalls for several years, resulting in the agency focusing efforts on patching up roads instead of building new. The past year also saw the closure of several rest areas.

State lawmakers are looking at a road usage charge to provide revenue for Wyoming highways. Emma Diercks takes a look at the bill, which was assigned on December 30th.
