This past Friday, June 27, Wyoming Secretary of State Jan Grey filed a motion to dismiss a federal lawsuit filed by Equality State Policy Center challenging Wyoming House Bill 156.

The legislation requires proof of United States citizenship and proof of Wyoming residency to register to vote. Secretary Grey also filed a response in opposition to the ESPC’s motion to preliminarily enjoin, or prohibit, HB 156.

The Wyoming Secretary of State argues that proof of citizenship for registering to vote is simple common sense, and pivotal to ensuring election integrity.

Grey describes the liberal lawsuit as “desperate” and shows how far the radical left, through its attorney Marc Elias, is willing to go to stop basic election integrity measures.

Wyomingites deserve fair, transparent elections, Secretary Grey said in Monday’s release.
