In Medicine Bow, southern Wyoming’s harsh winter weather turned out to be a deal breaker for a Marshal the town hired out California at the start of the year.

Now, town officials are turning to someone a little more homegrown to provide law enforcement at the north end of the county. The new hire is a former Carbon County Sheriff’s deputy. Emma Diercks reports.
