Memorial Hospital of Carbon County is teaming up with businesses across our area to collect donated school supplies.

For the third straight year, Memorial Hospital is collecting donations for Carbon County elementary school students. Director of Strategic Operations Stephanie Hinkle described some of the items the students may need.

Memorial Hospital has teamed up with Bank of Commerce, RNB State Bank, Fremont Therapy Group, Carbon County Higher Education Center, and Valley Pharmacy in Saratoga for this year’s drive. Hinkle said donation boxes can be found at all the business locations.

The school supply drive will run until Friday, August 9th. Hinkle said participating businesses will box the items up and send them to elementary schools across Carbon County.

The donated school supplies will be given to every elementary school in Carbon County, except for the Baggs elementary school. Hinkle said Baggs residents already donate supplies to the town’s school.

Like free school physicals, Hinkle said the school supply drive is a way for Memorial Hospital to be involved with the community. The strategic director said that organizing the school supply drive is an easy way to benefit Carbon County residents.

The 2024 School Supply Drive began last week and will run until August 9th. Residents may drop off their donated items at all Memorial Hospital of Carbon County clinics, RNB State Bank, and Commerce Bank locations, as well as Freemont Therapy and the Carbon County Higher Education Center in Rawlins, and Valley Pharmacy in Saratoga.
