Details remain scarce in Rawlins raids

In Rawlins, the state highway patrol, the sheriff’s department and city police executed multiple search warrants last week that are expected to result in numerous felonies.

At least two homes were the subjects of search warrants, both executed on Thursday, December 12th. Due to ongoing investigations, few details have been released. Bigfoot 99’s Cali O’Hare takes a look at what we can confirm so far.

CCSD1 moves forward with consumer science lab

Carbon County School District One hired an architect to begin creating designs for a family consumer science lab at the Rawlins High School. The district is expanding the course on student request. Emma Diercks has more.

Turkey Shoot returns this week

The annual Turkey Shoot event at the indoor shooting complex in Rawlins enters its fourth year this week. Since it started in 2016, the event has raised more than $5,000 for Toys for Tots and fed hundreds of hungry families at Christmas.

Airport expansion runs into water line issues

The design for the Saratoga Jet Center apron expansion calls for pavement to be laid over a water line that has caused the town issues in the past.

The water and sewer board and the airport engineer are looking into relocating the line to avoid tearing up fresh pavement in the future. Emma Diercks has more.
