Hunters cited for shooting too many elk

Over the New Year’s holiday, a Game and Fish investigation resulted in citations for two California men who shot more elk than the number of hunting tags issued to them.

The elk were shot north of Saratoga near Pass Creek Road. Emma Diercks has the story.

 

 

Multiple Rawlins youth cited for MIP, two arrested

In Rawlins, multiple teens were cited for underage possession of alcohol following a December house party on Sigma Drive. The majority of the young people were released into the custody of their parents, but two were arrested and charged with misdemeanor crimes.

The primary resident of the home, a 20-year-old Rawlins woman, was arrested for hosting the party and furnishing alcohol to the group of minors. Cali O’Hare reports.

Rawlins teens facing felony drug charges

A Rawlins teenager who called to report he had been assaulted by a 44-year-old man was later arrested on drug-related charges. The resulting investigation also led to the arrest of the man and a second teenager. It all took place the day after Christmas.

The adult has been released from jail, but the two teens are facing felony drug charges. Cali O’Hare has the story.

 

 

County, State see increase in tax revenue

Carbon County, along with the State of Wyoming as a whole, saw an increase in sales and use tax for fiscal year 2019. Carbon County collected 20 percent more revenue than it put on the books in 2018. Emma Diercks has the story.

It was a sparse schedule over the weekend as Mother Nature threw her hand into the mix, but the schools that were able to travel fared well overall. Joey Saverine reports.
