Sinclair aims to purchase school

Carbon County School District One plans to open discussions with the Town of Sinclair about purchasing the old Sinclair School.

Town officials don’t have a specific plan for the building but have considered a few options. Emma Diercks has the story.

Frakes promoted to lieutenant

The Rawlins Police Department last month announced the promotion of Jared Frakes from the rank of sergeant to lieutenant.

The promotion came six months after a wrongful death lawsuit involving Frakes and another officer was settled of court. The case laid bare public concerns about law enforcement in the city.

Bigfoot 99’s Cali O’Hare sat down with Lt. Frakes last week to talk about the promotion and the aftermath of that fateful night in 2015.

Wyoming students outperform nation

A national study of test scores shows that Wyoming students outperform their peers around the country.

The results put Wyoming above public school averages on the 2019 National Assessment of Educational Progress. Emma Diercks has the story.
