RHS reignites homecoming bonfire tradition

In Rawlins: it’s homecoming week. Students and others gearing up for the renewal of a by-gone tradition: The bonfire. The event has not been held in years.

A partnership between several agencies, including the fire department and the high school booster club, has made it possible to bring back the event. Cali O’Hare has more.

Skill games may be here to stay

The so-called skill game machines popular in Carbon County and throughout the state may be here to stay. State lawmakers are working on legislation that regulates the machines and would allow counties to decide if the machines stay in place.

The games still face opposition from those who say they are little more than gambling. Emma Diercks reports.

 

 

Economic development director gives final update

The Carbon County Economic Development Corporation could name a new director as early as this week.

Last Tuesday, the outgoing director gave a final update to the Carbon County Commissioners. Cali O’Hare has more.
