While the wind blew through the Platte Valley on Wednesday, the Mullen Fire stayed relatively quiet. Cloud cover, cooler temperatures, higher humidity and even a little precipitation kept the fire in check.

The Mullen Fire’s creeping march toward Ryan Park has stopped, at least for now. Emma Diercks has the latest.
