Nearly 1,500 wild horses have been rounded up since the start of the BLM’s gather in the Red Desert Wild Horse Complex near Rawlins last month. More than 100 of them were returned to the range, and many were treated with fertility control.

Several wild horses were euthanized due to pre-existing conditions or trauma they sustained during the gather.

Cali O’Hare has the latest on the wild horse gather in the south-central Wyoming.
