Moms and their sons are invited to unleash their inner warriors and bond at the Carbon County Republican Party’s first ever Nerf Guns and Messy Buns foam dart war this Saturday.
For the past two years, the Carbon County Republican Party has held the Daddy Daughter Ball. Republican Party Chairman Paul Metevier said the event showcases how important a strong male role model is for young girls.
Chairman Metevier said his organization created Messy Buns and Nerf Guns to offer mothers a similar experience.
Metevier said the Multiplex building at the Carbon County Fairgrounds will be set up like a paintball course, with berms and haybales for participants to hide behind. The Republic Party Chairman said moms and sons will wage war against one another using Nerf guns.
Metevier said he is hoping for at least 40 people to take part in Saturday’s event, but there is no limit to the number of teams that can participate. For the sake of gameplay, Metevier said participants should be at least five years old.
Despite being hosted by the Carbon County Republican Party, Metevier said the event is not politically driven. He said everyone is welcome to participate in the mom and son Nerf war.
Metevier said he’ll have a few extra Nerf guns and darts available to borrow during the event, but he asked that people try to bring their own equipment.
The first Carbon County Republican Party Nerf Guns and Messy Buns foam dart war is this Saturday, April 6th, at the Carbon County Fairgrounds Multiplex building. The event runs from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Entry is $40 per team. Snacks will be provided
To register for the event, call Ryane Metevier at 259-3957 or visit the county Republican Party’s website at https://www.ccrpwy.com/nerf2024.
