The National Weather Service in Cheyenne on Thursday afternoon issued a “Flood Watch” for the Encampment River in effect through this weekend.
According to the flood watch bulletin, flooding is possible from late Friday through early Sunday afternoon on the Encampment River at Encampment.
The National Weather Service notes that flooding occurs over the lower campsites along the river at Lazy Acres Campground in Riverside.
Minor flooding could also occur over the Oddfellows Campground and along Baggot Rocks Road.
The flood watch is in effect from this evening through Sunday afternoon.
