July 4th is this weekend, and the City of Rawlins says leave the fireworks to the pros.

Fireworks of all kinds, including sparklers, are illegal to possess anywhere in Carbon County without a permit.

The Rawlins Fire Department has obtained a waiver and will hold a public pyrotechnic display beginning around 10 p.m. this Saturday.

Cali O’Hare has the details on the show, as well as some holiday closures.
