In Rawlins, one homeowner’s recent nightmare experience with a contractor over a remodeling project from hell is serving as a lesson for others. Before the work begins, research the contractor  as well your own home insurance policy, and make sure everyone — including the city public works office — has signed off on the plan. Cali O’Hare has the story.

The Rawlins Department of Public Works urges anyone looking to hire a contractor in Rawlins first review the public files of local contractors which are maintained by the City of Rawlins. To request a file or to set up a time to review contractor files in person, contact the Department of Public Works at 307-328-4599.
