Rawlins City Council will discuss a rate change to the water enterprise fund at the September 6th council meeting.

Rate Specialist Carl Brown, who was hired by the city to review the current funding structure, will present his findings and recommendations.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting in person or remotely, on cable channel 191 or on the city’s YouTube channel.

According to a news release, after Brown’s presentation on September 6th, the city will seek feedback. City officials say an increase is needed in the water bill to pay for the real costs associated with operating the system.
