Tree management of a different kind is getting underway in Rawlins.

After a limb from a city-owned tree which fell on a resident’s car during perfectly calm weather, the Parks and Recreation Department will undertake a program to inspect all the trees in town for signs of disease.

Considered a Tree City USA for 26 years, the municipality is responsible for hundreds of trees, from newly-planed seedlings to some that are over a hundred years old. Cali O’Hare reports.
