In Rawlins, between the cold weather and hard work of the local hockey team, public works, the rec department and local firefighters, the city ice skating rink may open in time for Christmas.

Rawlins Parks and Recreation Center Director Jason Sehon update council last night on recent efforts to get the rink ready. Sehon said two applications of water were applied this week, the first on Monday and the second yesterday. The ice is holding, Sehon said.
