The City of Rawlins will begin sampling municipal wastewater for the SARS virus which causes COVID-19. Testing could yield useful information about the prevalence of infection in the community.

Samples will also be collected from the Wyoming State Penitentiary in Rawlins.

The municipality will be allowed to keep its sampling station for future use, and is being reimbursed by the state for every expense. Cali O’Hare reports.
