In Rawlins, the police department’s communication center went live with a new program which will allow dispatchers to collect the most pertinent information about an emergency and relay those details to first responders, including firefighters and police officers.

The highly specialized system is known as Priority Dispatch. It integrates time-tested, scientifically backed scripted protocols with the most state-of-the-art call-taking software on the market.

Bigfoot 99’s Cali O’Hare sat down with the RPD’s communications supervisor and filed this report.
