Larscheid said she and the choir have been practicing for the Christmas concert for 10 weeks. They meet every Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Saratoga. The choir director said they have over 20 members.
The Saratoga Community Choir was founded over 35 years ago by Larscheid’s grandmother and other members of the Presbyterian Church. Larscheid has been the choir director for the past 15 years. She said music has always been a part of her life.
Sunday’s Christmas concert is the only event the Saratoga Community Choir will perform. Larscheid said they used to do an Easter and Fourth of July show, but choir members don’t have as much time to offer anymore. However, the director said she would like to bring back at least one additional show.
The concert will be held in the PVCC auditorium. Larscheid said the show is free to all, but donations are welcome. The director said the money goes to fund the choir.
The Saratoga Community Choir’s Christmas concert is Sunday, December 11th.
