It finally stopped snowing and the sun is out for a few days. Snowpack levels in the high country have more than doubled over the last month. At the beginning of December, snowpack and water-equivalency levels for the high country drainages that feed the Upper North Platte River basin were in the 65 percent of median range, plus or minus.

As of Sunday morning, yesterday, snowpack is at 135 percent of median. Yesterday’s numbers did not include the latest information from the Medicine Bow and Never Summer snowtel sites, which might even push the number higher.
